About Us
WHO WE ARE
Dedicated To Narrowing Gender Gaps And Creating Opportunities For Women & Children
Rosa Care Organisation is a grassroots Zimbabwean organization dedicated to narrowing gender gaps and creating opportunities for women and children in Zimbabwe for over 19years. We are committed to sustainable development, striving for our projects to become self-reliant and impactful. We adopt a holistic approach to sustainable development by consulting and collaborating with communities to identify their needs and goals. This ensures our projects maximize opportunities for success and empower communities as a whole.
We believe in the power of sharing ideas and collaborating with others to bring about meaningful, positive change. Our mission is to address the root causes of poverty and social injustice, fostering lasting change for marginalized and vulnerable populations.
VISION
To transform societal attitudes towards fairness and inclusivity, ensuring that every individual has equal opportunities to thrive and reach their full potential. We envision a world where every child is recognized as a valuable asset, contributing to a sustainable and equitable future.
MISSION
To provide empowering services that enable women, girls, vulnerable children, persons with disabilities, and individuals with long-term health conditions to live fulfilling lives and reach their full potential. We are committed to equipping communities with the information and
resources needed to foster gender equality and climate resilience, ensuring a brighter future for all.

“Touch a life and mend a heart.” We are dedicated to making a lasting impact on the lives of girls, transforming their self-perception and empowering them to create a better future for themselves and their children.
Our Values
01.
Dignity
At Rosa Care Organisation, we believe that every individual, regardless of impairment, age, or health status, has the right to live their life of choice, treated with respect and dignity. We are committed to uplifting the inherent worth of all people.
02.
Inclusivity
We embrace the Social Model of Disability, recognizing that barriers created by society, rather than individual impairments, disable people. We work collaboratively with each person at their own pace, valuing their unique skills and experiences to promote independence and participation.
03.
Person-Centred Approach
We prioritize individual needs, adapting our services to fit the unique circumstances and
preferences of each person we serve, rather than expecting them to conform to pre-set standards.
04.
Compassion
We partner with individuals, communities, and organizations to achieve positive outcomes for vulnerable populations, recognizing that collective efforts lead to greater change.
05.
Commitment
We are dedicated to working as a cohesive team, united in our mission to deliver on our
vision and make a meaningful impact in the lives of those we serve.
06.
Collaboration
We take a holistic approach, addressing all aspects of a person’s life—social, health, family, and work—to provide comprehensive support and foster well-being.
07.
Transparency
Our commitment to transparency ensures that our work and its quality are clearly communicated and accessible, fostering trust within the communities we serve.
08.
Accountability
We take responsibility for our actions and decisions, ensuring that we are answerable to our beneficiaries and stakeholders for the impact of our work.
09.
Timeliness
We strive to respond to the needs of our beneficiaries promptly, ensuring that support isdelivered within a short timeframe to maximize its effectiveness.
Our History
Our Humble Beginnings
Rosa Care Organisation was founded by concerned individuals dedicated to supporting and strengthening community initiatives that focus on caring for girls, orphans, and vulnerable children, while empowering women and persons with disabilities. Our aim is to help these individuals live the lives they choose and reach their full potential through a comprehensive sponsorship program.
The primary goal of Rosa Care Organisation is to restore hope and provide a future for vulnerable girls, women, and affected children. In May 2004, we established an association with the objective of providing essential means of survival—such as food and education—
while also supporting women, individuals with disabilities, orphans, and vulnerable girl children. A secondary objective was to engage with community-based organizations that would facilitate connections between Rosa Care Organisation and these target groups. Initially operating as a Community-Based Organization (CBO) under the Youth Council of Zimbabwe, we were officially registered as a non-profit NGO and local Charitable Trust known as Rosa Foundation (MA 000856/17) with the Master of the High Court in Harare on June 14, 2017. To enhance our operations, we registered with the Ministry of Labour, Public Service and Social Welfare under the Private Voluntary Organisations Act [Chapter 17:05] as Rosa Care Organisation (PVO 15/2020).
Our journey began with a pilot project in September 2004 in the rural community of Chikomba District, Mashonaland East Province, where ten girls received sponsorship for school fees and materials at Mangoro Primary School. This initiative, spearheaded by former student Forbes Chikobvu and others, saw all sponsored children returning to school and receiving regular care and nourishment.
For 19 years, Rosa Care Organisation has worked in the rural communities of Chikomba and Buhera Districts, with aspirations to expand across Mashonaland East and Manicaland Provinces. We focus on building sustainable relationships with NGOs, businesses, and individuals to raise public awareness about the social and economic value of girls’ education, encouraging communities to support gender equality and integrate women’s voices into their resilience efforts.
Our core strength lies in our deep understanding of the communities we serve and our practical approach to addressing local challenges. This strength is further enhanced by our commitment to strengthening gender equality within the vulnerable groups we target.
Our Goal
We aim to promote the rights and empower vulnerable groups, particularly girls and young women, by providing equitable and relevant services. Our focus is on enhancing gender equality and fostering climate resilience among women, persons with disabilities, and vulnerable children, while supporting holistic community development
